Since August 2023, Shopee Xpress has been renamed to SPX Express.
The National Competition Commission (NCC) issued Decision No. 123/QD-CT on the handling of a competition case involving SPX Express Co., Ltd., with the decision content as follows: An administrative fine in the field of competition was imposed on SPX Express Co., Ltd. in the amount of 200 million VND for providing misleading information to customers about products and services to attract customers from other businesses, violating Point a, Clause 5, Article 45 of the Competition Law.
It is known that during the investigation, SPX Express Co., Ltd. actively cooperated by providing information and documents to the National Competition Commission, and took actions to prevent and mitigate the consequences of the violation.
Previously, TikiNow Smart Logistics Co., Ltd. was also fined 200 million VND for a similar violation. Specifically, TikiNow stated on its website several misleading claims, including: 100% nationwide delivery coverage; over 1,000,000 orders delivered per day; and over 100,000 orders processed daily by TikiNOW.
In 2023, SPX was also administratively fined by the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Information and Communications (now the Ministry of Science and Technology) for violations such as changing delivery forms for postal service users, and launching promotional campaigns offering postal services at prices lower than previous service rates (in the form of discounts), which violated promotional regulations.
Since August 2023, Shopee Xpress has rebranded to SPX Express. The company currently provides logistics services for sellers and businesses both on and off the Shopee platform. With annual revenue reaching trillions of VND, SPX Express has become one of the leading logistics companies in Vietnam.
