As shipping partners, we would like to emphasize again the importance of proper cargo loading, accurate and timely shipment details for Booking, Operations, BL, Customs Manifest and Cargo Release. Any improper stuffing and misdeclaration of commodity will lead to uncountable consequences including casualty, damages, heavy customs penalty, high costs and also tedious rectification.
Considering increased reports of fire incident, damage, leakage at container / terminal / vessel, customs investigation / retention / penalty etc, we hereby need to reiterate the necessary control of cargo stuffing and declaration which is extremely essential to protect the safety of operations and all related activities.
In order to draw your immediate attention for strict compliance and recover administration costs, below please find the revised charge quantum in red colour with immediate effect.
Line Administration Fee on top of any operational costs and local charges:
➢ DG and Sensitive Commodity Improper Stuffing / Misdeclaration – USD20,000 per container in
addition to and on top of any losses and damages, caused by improper stuffing or misdeclaration of
dangerous goods and sensitive commodities such as lithium batteries, charcoal, faham, seed cake,
fish meal, military cargo, etc.
➢ Weight Misdeclaration – USD20,000 per container in addition to and on top of any costs, losses
and damages, caused by weight deviation and overloading especially over container payload.
➢ General Commodity Improper Stuffing / Misdeclaration – USD2,000 per unit on top of any costs
if impacting freight rate, operations, container damage, leakage, customs declaration, terminals or
truckers
➢ BL Late Pick Up (per BL counted from sailing) – USD100 (over 15 days) / USD200 (over 21 days)
/ USD300 (over 30 days)
➢ Late Amendment of BL (per BL counted from sailing) – USD100 (90 days) / USD200 (180 days)
/ USD300 (365 days)
➢ Seal Discrepancy – USD100 per unit if impacting customs declaration and import release
➢ VGM Amendment – USD100 per unit after VGM submission deadline
